This is a great clip. It’s true. The early church fathers knew, and occasionally admitted in writing, that what they were marketing was not LITERALLY true; that version was for the simple people.
The hidden version that they congratulated themselves with understanding (the people who largely founded modern
Christianity) was presumably much more gnostic, much more plaotnic and stoic, as that WAS how christianity originally was
before the dilution and mass marketing of it.
