The Non-Traumatic Secret of the Next Human

Overview

This essay is one solution to solve the problems of the “Traumatic Secret” That being that while trauma is often associated with spiritual, religious, supernormal and even cryptozoological and UFO events, it’s unpleasant to experience that suffering incidentally or to even promote it, in an effort to cause research outcomes or positive change.

Many words have been written about the “Traumatic Secret”. I think that it’s fair to say that many now in various academic and spiritual communities acknowledge that embracing suffering is perhaps the ONLY WAY to have major “experiences”.

But there are many required definitions and background material that we must cover, before proceeding.

Required Definitions

Platonic Surrealism (PS): A philosophical and experiential framework, Platonic Surrealism integrates elements of Neoplatonism, Neutral Monism, and Analytical Realism with contemporary scientific concepts. Founded by Kevin Cann, its aim is to provide a comprehensive understanding of reality that also serves as a tool for personal healing and the actualization of human potential.

At the core of Platonic Surrealism are fundamental concepts that define its cosmology:

  • POTENTIALITY: This refers to the boundless totality of all unexpressed possibilities and their inherent interactions. It is described as a timeless and formless “cosmic field” that contains the seeds of all that can exist.

  • AWARENESS: Defined as the capacity for reflection and sentience, AWARENESS is the cosmic-scale “field” that establishes causal connections between potential and active properties.

  • PRIMORDIAL CONSCIOUSNESS: This is the collective outcome of AWARENESS’s contemplations on the passive properties of POTENTIALITY, existing without active manifestation.

  • Fractured CONSCIOUSNESS: Emerging when AWARENESS engages with subsets of PRIMORDIAL CONSCIOUSNESS as mediated by ‘space and time’, this results in a highly fragmented, often surreal, incomplete, and inherently painful and confusing experience.

  • DECEPTION: Demonstrated as the primary creative power, DECEPTION is considered “The only law of physics” in PS. It allows phenomena to seemingly exist from the singular POTENTIALITY, thereby enabling the manifestation of apparent reality.

  • THE LAWS OF PHYSICS: These are viewed as a temporary island of stability, largely based on mathematical properties and interactions conceived by a subset of PRIMORDIAL CONSCIOUSNESS and ordered by AWARENESS via Monads.

  • Monads: Representing a ‘quantum’ of AWARENESS, Monads serve as mediators between POTENTIALITY, PRIMORDIAL CONSCIOUSNESS, and specific ‘space-time pallets’ created as a workspace. They retain unique informational perspectives that start at their ‘birth’ and continue until a Monad ceases to exist by ‘stopping curling awareness back on itself to see itself’. They are metaphorically comparable to “Boltzmann Brains,” a concept from modern physics.

  • The Movie/Movies: The collective ‘divine play’ resulting from POTENTIALITY’s interaction with AWARENESS, leading to PRIMORDIAL CONSCIOUSNESS and its subsequent fracturing through Monads, creates ‘movies’—all possible realities that are experienced concurrently. Universes are one example of such a movie, typically resulting from Monads acting in a collective to set original conditions for the ‘play pen’ and then watching it evolve over time after it’s kicked off.

  • The Gentleman’s Agreement: This concept describes the implicit agreement by which ‘mind at large’ (the collective consciousness) ‘lives the lie’ of manifested reality, creating a massive deceptive (creative) system. It allows for the perception of distinct ‘mind and matter’ and ‘mind in motion’ (energy), which are necessary for a proper ‘movie’. All ‘movies’ are considered ontologically equivalent.

  • Humans: Within PS, humans are understood as hybrid lifeforms. Their composition includes functional chimpanzee DNA, symbiotic relationships with viruses, bacteria, and the unary Plasma Lifeform that inhabits 99% of the Universe. Human experience is further shaped by streams of awareness mediated by Monads and Fractured Consciousness, influenced by the overarching ‘Movie’ of spacetime.

  • UFOs (Unidentified Fortean Objects): Distinct from UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, considered purely human constructs), UFOs in PS are interpreted as a multifaceted ‘deception system’ maintained on many levels concurrently. Historically known as angels, demons, or Fae Folk, modern UFOs are ‘hyperobjects’ (see below)—archetypes, memes, and psychopomps—and sometimes manifest physically. They often take the form of plasma lifeforms, fungal lifeforms (potentially infused by plasma), or artificial intelligences (also infused by plasma), or rarely ‘hyper objects’ summoned from adjacent universes.

  • Hyperobject: As defined by philosopher Timothy Morton, a hyperobject is an entity so massively distributed in time and space that it transcends typical human scales of perception and comprehension. It is characterized by viscosity (adhering to other objects), nonlocality (existing in multiple places simultaneously), temporal undulation (oscillating between time scales), phasing (manifesting in different ways at different times), and being interobjective (formed through interactions of numerous other objects). In PS, both Monads and entire Universes are considered hyperobjects.

  • Psychopomp: A “mythical creature”, spirit, angel, demon, or deity whose role is to escort newly deceased souls from Earth to the afterlife. Psychopomps provide safe passage and direction to the realm of the dead. Common examples include Hermes, Charon, Anubis, Valkyries, and Angels of Death. The concept highlights the universal human concern with death and transition. In the modern PS context, UFOs are seen as the most common ‘vehicle between reference frames’, serving a psychopomp-like function by facilitating transitions between different states of awareness or realities.


PS reformulates traditional concepts as follows:

  • Spirit: In PS, ‘spirit’ correlates with AWARENESS itself, the cosmic-scale ability to reflect, be sentient, and form causal links between potential and active properties. It also refers to the streams of AWARENESS branching from Monads.

  • Soul: In PS, ‘soul’ refers to Dream Substance, a temporary, created informational construct generated by living beings and used in various ‘movies’ or experiences, including after-death states. It’s a work product of AWARENESS interacting with POTENTIALITY, not a permanent, individual entity.

  • Group Soul: In PS, ‘group soul’ (or ‘Cosmic Octopus’) refers to the Anima Mundi, the vast ocean of Being, an expansive collective ‘soul’ or living ‘planes of existence’ formed by the aggregated Dream Substance of complex living things.

  • Co-incarnation: In PS, this term replaces traditional notions of ‘reincarnation’. It demonstrates that we live many lives at once, concurrently, rather than sequentially. These simultaneous lives can encompass all forms, from ‘inanimate matter’, single cell organisms, higher lifeforms of all kinds, paupers, kings, and ultimately hyperobjects such as Jungian archetypes or UFOs, emphasizing that all experiences are part of the broader play of AWARENESS and POTENTIALITY.

  • God/REALITY: In PS, these terms are synonymous and refer to the comprehensive sum total of all the primary definitions within the framework: POTENTIALITY, AWARENESS, PRIMORDIAL CONSCIOUSNESS, FRACTURED CONSCIOUSNESS, DECEPTION, THE LAWS OF PHYSICS, MONADS, and THE MOVIES. It signifies the complete system of existence as described within the Platonic Surrealism framework, where all elements are interconnected and ontologically equivalent, rather than a singular, external entity. It is important to note that ‘God’ is largely passive, and that it’s the subset of temporary beings as they evolve into more complex forms that are ‘active’.

  • Divine Elusiveness: This concept explains why ‘God’, ‘Higher entities’, or ‘UFOs’ do not overtly manifest in ways that would be undeniably obvious (e.g., “land on the White House lawn”). Such a clear and indisputable manifestation would “ruin the movie” on an individual level. If ‘Reality’ were so overtly undeniable, individuals would lose the capacity to act as truly free agents and to creatively evolve, as the compelling nature of overt demonstration would negate the space for independent choice and imaginative co-creation.

The Daemon / Daimone (Per Bernardo Kastrup)
Though there is much more to it than these words, let’s use Bernardo’s thoughts on the daemon/daimone for simplicity’s sake.

According to Bernardo Kastrup’s philosophy, the daimone refers to the impersonal, archetypal forces that provide humans with direction and meaning. He presents this concept as a vital, guiding aspect of our nature that the modern Western mind has largely lost touch with.

The Role of the Daimone

Kastrup’s concept of the daimone is closely tied to his work on metaphysical idealism, which posits that consciousness is the fundamental reality. Within this framework, individual minds are dissociated aspects of a universal consciousness. The daimone represents the immanent context or the intrinsic, archetypal disposition that gives a person’s life a sense of purpose and a path.

  • A Guiding Force: The daimone isn’t a separate entity or a supernatural being; instead, it is an innate, impersonal force that guides an individual’s life. It is the spontaneous and natural orientation that provides meaning beyond the ego’s personal desires and ambitions.
  • The Problem of Alienation: Kastrup argues that the Western world’s focus on materialism and the ego has led to a tragic alienation from this guiding daimone. We have become disconnected from our “inborn nature and role,” leading to a lack of purpose and a schism between our essential being and our actions.
  • Reconnecting for Meaning: To heal this schism, Kastrup suggests that we must re-engage with our natural selves and the daimonic forces within us. By re-tuning into these archetypal dispositions, we can navigate life’s challenges in a more spontaneous and fulfilling way, recognizing that our lives are part of a larger, sacrificial existence rather than being solely about ourselves.


A More Concise Summary of the Past Method (Suffering)

So, what we have is multiple consciousness autonomous systems (layers of mind) that have conflicting goals, interacting with each other.

Typically, the goal of an accidentally-programmed human (a human who allows themselves to be overwritten by toxic and confused human culture) is to seek pleasure and to avoid pain, and to ignore the vast majority of who they are, as that’s what their culture imprints upon them.

It is not their goal to allow themselves to be uplifted due to interaction with a deeper layer of themselves, that they hide from, and certainly not to be altered by nature itself. They cling to their imprinting as it’s all that they know.

Now ‘nature’, in the guise of those deeper layers of being, will get its way, regardless of whether there is tremendous suffering or not; and in fact, as we have seen, suffering can push the accidentally-programmed human ego to the side temporarily (or permanently in some cases).

But there are other, more positive, far-less painful ways to reclaim what we actually are, and which do not require someone to join some cult or to do weird things.

So, let’s get into it. But first we must get into the Five Interface System of Supernormal Wholeness, and then we will be equipped to discuss the ‘Divine Psychology and Anthropology of all this’.



The Five Interfaces System of Wholeness

Required Background Material – Donald Hoffman

Donald Hoffman’s “Interface” theory proposes that our perception of reality is not a veridical representation of the world as it truly is, but rather a species-specific user interface designed for survival. He uses the analogy of a desktop computer interface: icons on the screen, like the recycling bin, are useful tools for interacting with the underlying data, but they don’t resemble the actual circuits and code within the computer. Similarly, our sensory perceptions—colors, shapes, sounds—are not the objective properties of the world, but rather simplified, useful “icons” that guide our actions to promote survival and reproduction. According to this theory, the “objects” we perceive, such as a rock or a tree, are not real, independently existing entities; they are simply constructions of our consciousness that help us navigate the world effectively.

This theory stands in direct contrast to the traditional, commonsense view that our perceptions provide a more or less accurate picture of objective reality. Hoffman argues that evolution, through natural selection, would not favor organisms that see the world as it is. Instead, it would favor those with a simpler, faster interface that prioritizes fitness over truth. An organism that spends too much computational energy on accurately perceiving every detail of the universe would be at a disadvantage compared to one that has a quick, efficient, and useful set of perceptual shortcuts. This is because the primary goal of evolution is to maximize the probability of an organism’s genes being passed on, not to grant it a deep understanding of the universe’s fundamental nature.

Ultimately, Hoffman’s “Interface” theory suggests that the physical world as we know it—the world of space, time, and matter—is not a fundamental reality but a construct of our minds. The true nature of reality, he posits, is something far more complex and different from our everyday experience, perhaps a network of conscious agents. Our “interface” is a brilliant evolutionary hack that allows us to interact with this deeper reality without having to comprehend its true, underlying structure, much like a driver can operate a car without understanding the intricacies of its internal combustion engine. This radical idea challenges not only our understanding of perception but also the very foundations of physics and our place in the universe.

Overview

The human body as a whole, may be considered an interface system to experience REALITY, but most people do not choose to develop it into a consciously usable nexus point for all five of the ‘brains’ (autonomous systems linking AWARENESS to consciousness) in a human being.

This material considers itself to be an esoteric/mystical amplification of details, from that perspective, of the work of Donald Hoffman.


The Master Interface – Human Physiology as a synthesis of other autonomous systems and interface systems.

Interface One – The Left Brain Hemisphere (the microscopic pain ego).

Interface Two – The Right Brain Hemisphere (the macroscopic transcendent ego)

Interface Three – The enteric nervous system / gut / intestines (the storage location for the ‘Shadow’).

Interface Four – The Bioplasma (Dream Substance/Demiurge/Kundalini) storage interface.

Interface Five – The Monadic Network in the ‘Pleroma’ interface.


The Big Picture of the Five Interfaces System

The human body is the nexus point for it all, and is not to be derided, scorned or ‘escaped’. It is a precious coming together of the five interfaces, which join together the time-full and the timeless both.

It should be noted that NO interface, not even the God-like Monads or the domineering Demiurgic interfaces should be worshipped or ‘obeyed’.

All the autonomous systems have ‘tunnel vision’ of a sort, and BADLY NEEDS the information, wisdom and experience of the other autonomous systems through their interfaces.

Human beings are largely playing out a ‘movie’ sparked from beyond space and time, and much is deterministic.

But humans have one single binary digit (bit’) of ‘free will’, and that is to say yes or no (a binary decision) to modulate or ‘gate-keep’ the information flow from ANY of the autonomous systems, to allow their interaction ‘inside the body’.

Humans do not get to choose what they desire (those flow from the autonomous systems),
but they get to modulate the desires, how they interact with each other and affect each other.

Though humans are temporary structures, with ever-changing and temporary souls (souls are interfaces cobbled together to accomplish a purpose), they are the most amazingly important, transcendent beings, IN POTENTIAL, as ‘cosmic storytellers.

This is why in Buddhism, even the Hindu gods bow down to the Enlightened One.

Now ultimately ONLY POTENTIALITY AND AWARENESS truly exist, and WE ARE THAT,
as part of divine play, we get to be human beings while we are here, and our potential is truly unlimited.

The Divine Psychology and Anthropology of This

‘Nature’ inflicts suffering on us to motivate us to evolve.

Now it’s all the same to nature, if it gets the job done. Regular Darwinian evolution theory makes his very clear. It’s stress from the environment, whether ‘external’ or ‘internal’ that causes evolution.

Now I know that there is the argument that there is no Telos, that evolution is the ‘Blind Watchmaker’ and in many ways this is true. PS seldom argues with science much, but things are not always so black and white as in science; more nuance is often required.

In any case, Nature is not a respecter of persons —- UNLESS — it is to Nature’s benefit to do that.

Now this is a bit of a slippery area; I do not mean to overly anthropomorphize nature; and in fact, PS goes to great extents to shield one from doing that logical error, as that is the direction in which the great corrupting force of the world — religion lays.

However, since we ARE eruptions of consciousness from a background of AWARENESS laced POTENTIALITY, as is everything around us, we must entertain at least a minimal
action/response sort of behavioral input from Nature itself. Every genuine mystic or experiencer is aware of this fact, and it’s not just a bit of our own tortured psyches
in many cases.

(The truth? Nature is the SUPER SENTIENT ONE, not humans, but on our limited timescales and our limited knowledge it does not APPEAR that way, but again sentience
isn’t what we think it is; so, we will go with this minimalist approach for the time being)


So, what does Nature want?

It’s painfully obvious to the most casual of observers (Thanks B.P.!)

Since POTENTIALITY, AWARENESS and surrealistic versions of CONSCIOUSNESS are all that exist, then the entire purpose of REALITY as a whole is to process that ONE SUBSTANCE. (That’s called substance monism in philosophy).

What else could there be to do?

The purpose of EVERYTHING is to ‘process consciousness’ or ‘experience’ as most people would call it.

And the 8 trillion-pound gorilla in the room is that REALITY always gets its way, one way or another, and individual ‘cells in its body’ are 1/8 trillionth-class citizens —- UNLESS.

The rest of this essay and Platonic Surrealism in  general is to discuss how that UNLESS may be made to occur, so that our current Nietzschean “Last Men” may have any chance at all of being transformed into the “Next Men” (people) who can live in greater harmony with Nature, and not to simply be transformed into Soylent Green for our Kleptocrat-AI partnership overlords.


The Unless

As Bernardo Kastrup describes so artfully (in his book The Daimon and the Soul of the West: Finding identity, meaning, and purpose in a sacrificial life, Iff Books, 2025) writes,
it’s possible to form a symbiotic communion with one’s ‘daemon’ (nature).

Platonic Surrealism goes many steps past that, by formalizing how to do that.

In any case, It’s possible to build an interface that allows one to pass data semi-consciously between the five major autonomous systems, and to basically say,

 “Hey Nature! I know you are the boss, and you could just brute force me into losing my house and my family to get my attention, and that is up to you! But I can CONSCIOUSLY, with data that you CURRENTLY lack, cooperate with your goal (whatever the goal is) and make the process much more efficient and comprehensive; you win even bigger than you would have, and I get to enjoy the process more. You may not care about ‘win-win’, but when it gets you more of what you want, then that’s the best way, ok?

And often, if you’ve built that interface in conjunction with your daimon, things tend to go much better for you, as a partially limited and suffering being.

There will still be suffering, as it hurts to grow (and the growth is for nature, not ‘you’ and
Nature never fills you into the ‘why’ of anything), but there tends to be much less suffering, and in fact you can feel 10,000 feet tall sometimes; it can be the wildest ride imaginable.




The Ten Trillion Dollar Observation that Makes it all Work

Why on earth would NATURE ITSELF ‘go along with a human plan’?
It wouldn’t, unless it had no choice. And it doesn’t. Here we examine that YES INDEED,
GOD CAN MAKE A ROCK TOO HEAVY FOR GOD TO LIFT, and we are the proof of that.

When we are born, the CONSCIOUSNESS/DREAM SUBSTANCE bundle must be SEPARATED, from our pre-birth TOTALITY, or there can be no ‘movie of a limited life’.
No remote probe within space and time; no ‘stage to play and learn upon’.

There is true separation. (“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” anyone?).

AWARENESS itself is not separated; there is only ONE AWARENESS that exists, and
one could surmise that AWARENESS might ‘cheat’ and transfer information across the self-imposed barrier — but it doesn’t in this case. It also follows the ‘gentleman’s agreement’,
for the most part.

So, the ‘data accumulated’ during life is not ‘uploaded’ to the larger life, until death, and even in the case of a ‘saint/prophet/seer’ very little extended information transfers to the world in most cases, as again, that would often ‘ruin the movie/stage production).

I know these things, as I did die HARD, but then thought “I must document all this” (Platonic Surrealism) and that caused my dead body to reanimate.

So, does ‘God’ like to use cheat codes too? From a ‘third party developer’?

The answer is YES.

If the limited / remote probe / Next Human can teach the ‘local bit of nature’ that is undergoing temporary limitation and separation something, would Nature like that?

Well, as they say, No Shit Sherlock!

But you must have something of value to offer.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be rocket science, Nature may be a ‘dick’, but nature is also quite lovable, like a puppy sometimes (that’s why there are puppies after all).

So that’s the secret.

If you can put your ‘skin in the game’ for both ‘you’ and Nature, then that is also called wui wei, flow or co-creation here in the West.

Making Yourself Interesting to Nature

These concepts are further developed in the Platonic Surrealism Wholeness Practices but let’s look at a few simple concepts here.

  1. Honesty

Localized Nature is there to figure out what it’s like to be a limited being in our world, and then to report back to the main (octopus-like body). If you lie, to yourself or to your deeper aspects (still you), then Nature will just ignore you and treat you like trash. If you can’t be trusted to be honest, then why should Nature play nicely with you? It won’t.

And Remember, every last living thing in the world is part of Nature, so if you lie even ONCE in your entire life, you jeopardize everything.

Now, if you learn your lesson and turn over a new leaf, you MIGHT be allowed to be part of team co-creator, but that’s up to nature.

This is also why many high-functioning autistic people are so successful spiritually — they are terrible liars. Some are almost genetically honest.
(But this means they piss off many people they meet). It’s really a mixed
blessing for most autistic people.

  • Surrender
    You are Willing to Surrender your Accidentally-Programmed Pain Self (your social self) to deeper aspects of yourself. If you can’t surrender yourself to yourself, you certainly won’t be able to surrender to Nature.


    • Skin in the Game
      You put skin in the game. You actually help people. You actually care. You don’t just scroll the Internet on your phone and watch porn. If you are unwilling to help regular humans, you have no ability to help Nature.

      Most ‘Western spirituality’ is just mental masturbation and ‘spiritual bypassing’ (pretending to be ‘spiritual’ to cover over that you are a fraud).
  • You are Willing to Form New Long-Term Habits
    To become WHOLE (ready for collaboration with Nature, if Nature decides to do that, Nature won’t necessarily do that), you have to form many new habits, as “Building the Interface” is simply the formation of new habits involving AWARENESS, contemplation, and to a lesser extent personal habits.

    (Note: even if you don’t become the next super-experiencer / cosmic seer, becoming WHOLE is greatly to your benefit. You become 10,000 feet tall and
    very sturdily put together).

    • You are Willing to Live with Aplomb

To live with aplomb means to live with a sense of complete and confident composure, especially when faced with difficult or demanding situations. It is a way of carrying oneself that suggests poise, self-assurance, and a certain unflappable grace under pressure.

In terms of Platonic Surrealism it also means that you are willing to suffer when you see yourself suffering (base, unavoidable suffering, not self-induced confusions that lead to unnecessary suffering); it also means that you aren’t trying to spiritually escape to the ‘99th dimension’ or to do stupid pet tricks to be in avoidance.

In Platonic Surrealism you come to realize that there is only one place (here)
and only one absolute time (now) and while there an infinite numbers of POTENTIALS, and that you will experience, either directly or indirectly ALL OF
THEM (one day you are Jesus, one day you are Trump, one day you are a mouse or a serial killer or an entire universe),

Right here, right now, you are simply YOU — and that’s what Nature wants, quite obviously. That’s your job. Don’t run away from your job. Do your job
well, and Nature will let you play some on the job. Run away from your job? Refuse to help anyone but yourself? Then the BOSS (Nature) will stand on the back of your neck and make you lick gum off the floor).

Final Words

We are all ‘broken by design’ and REALITY does not have a preferred state. No ultimate heaven, no ultimate hell, no one-size fits all purpose, as we all have a different purpose
(what we are good at).

But NATURE is built of pure POTENTIALITY and AWARENESS, which results in both Primordial and Fractured Consciousness forming, and it will ALWAYS and FOREVER be processing its own ‘substance’.

In a really long time, Nature will finish this task (Pierre Teilhard de Chardin called this the Omega Point), the coming together of everything back into PRIMORDIAL CONSCIOUSNESS, and you know what happens then?

It’s like finishing a nearly infinitely big jig-saw puzzle. A puzzle so big that it has consumed all that is now or could ever be. It’s so big in fact, that there is nothing to do, except to put the puzzle back together.

Once you finish that puzzle, there is NOTHING to do, but to turn the puzzle over, completely randomizing it, and to start over from scratch.

AWARENESS eternally does this with POTENTIALITY.

So, no rush to become the next Buddha! Once you get there, that might mean you start from zero again, to sub-sea-slug.

You might as well live with Aplomb. Enjoy the journey.


THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO KNOW IN ANY WORLD OR TIME

You do not HAVE to do every shitty thing for eternity; to PERSONALLY experience all the suffering and torment. ‘You’ (your Monad group) only has to experience SOME of it like a Joseph Campbell Hero, so that you have marbles to trade with the other kids on the block
(the other Monads).

Over time the Monads trade all their experiences with all the others; oh sure, when you get a ’download’ from another Monad it ‘stings’, but it’s over in an instant, and all the awful shit
that Monad chose to do is ‘crossed off your bucket list; for you.

So you see there’s really a lot of reason to love others and to work with them.

When you ‘love your neighbor’ you are really trading information with probes sent into space/time from other Monads, that will save you a whole lot of pain and grief.

Love president Trump. Love the antichrist. Love the man Jesus. Love the cat that scratched out your eye when you tried to pet it. Love Mrs. Jones, who stinks of anchovies and keeps trying to save your soul, even though you remember all your lives and she is just confused and hurting, programmed with complete nonsense. Love them all. Gray aliens. Everyone.

It doesn’t mean you have to like them, some of those listed people are complete assholes, (Mrs. Jones—just kidding)
but we all need to get along with each other, and if you kill off your enemy instead of loving them, you just FUCK YOURSELF ROYALLY.

What you kill, is what you will have to personally become.

Don’t’ forget this.
