You must put skin in the game, to start the game, or it’s just ‘mental/fake spiritual masturbation.
This is why writing is a form of conjuring… why speaking ‘magic words is a form of conjuring’… why allowing yourself to suffer or feel love, or to sit in uncertainty … these are all ‘skin in the game’.
You have to ante up minimum starting bid, or you don’t get to play, and most people who want ‘mystical or paranormal experiences’ aren’t willing to ante up — so they don’t get to play a hand of poker with the GAME.
When you do any of these things, you are sharing a bit of your own personal AWARENESS modified consciousness — your ‘dream substance’. Dream substance is the universal, cosmic currency for all transactions, in a REALITY where only AWARENESS which explores patterns in POTENTIALITY creates ‘consciousness’ (dream substance), and nothing else exists.
It has been shown in modern neurology, that the left brain hemisphere & standard non-creative persona actively BLOCKS out signals from the right brain hemisphere and the more expansive and creative parts of ourselves.
So when we plot and scheme and analyze even ‘spiritual things’, we are firmly nailing the door shut to exceptional experience.
To get wet, you have to jump into the pool, and not keep reading books about swimming.
You jump into the pool by anteing up, not by THINKING about anteing up.
When you are in pain, you are largely not thinking, and are in a state of doing (you are suffering). This is why even suffering can open doors, ESPECIALLY if you accept the suffering, if you OWN IT. You watch suffering, and you accept the suffering and make it have a purpose. When you do that, you make the suffering magical.
When you are floating in love, you are largely not thinking and are in a state of doing (you are moving towards that which you love, opening to that which you love).
When you feel, when you see, when you DO, and don’t just surround yourself with thoughts separate from reality (words), you start to open the door. And when you let any current that comes by from ‘outside’ (not of your word-based thoughts), then you are of necessity giving a drop of yourself to the process. The ‘process’ is the LARGER LIFE.
This is why people fast, as the making purpose of hunger is making purpose of a real current.
This is why people refrain from sexual release, as this is making purpose of a real current.
This is why people willingly suffer, as this is making purpose of a real current.
