These words are taken from a letter I wrote to Anya, a friend and colleague of Jeffrey J. Kripal and myself.

“Anya,
Again … you and your co-author have written a world-class book on the topic.
And I certainly concur, that saying ‘Kundalini is THIS ONE EXACT THING / PROCESS’
tends to be a bad approach (you are doing a ‘teach the controversy and if that gets conversation going that’s great).
But I want to affirm something from ‘the Serpent Power’, which I really should read I suppose.
The one Tantric co-author of ‘Sir John’ said the utter and complete truth.
‘The gentleman was confused by the fiery nature of Kundalini,
genuine Kundalini leaves the body cold, except a tiny bit of warmth
at the top of the head, leaving the body like a corpse’.
Yes, this is correct. (it’s what happened to me).
All the ‘fire’ is the ‘false fire’ the flame of Fractured Consciousness that hides and ‘imprisons’ pure unbound AWARENESS.
At its most fundamental level ‘Kundalini ‘is:
1) The excitation of the golden “consciousness is the trickster’ envelope that keeps
PRENATAL AWARENESS asleep/dreaming. The ‘fiery’ component is in fact composed of
‘Dream Substance’ (in part sentient plasma) and this part is DISCARDED and
returned to the environment to enrichen ‘the Demiurge’. It is not us; it is not
‘soul’ —- it is brain food for the ‘Demiurge’.
2) Kundalini when awakened is seen to HARVEST ALL dream substance / bio-plasma
from the body, and if necessary, it will burn a hole in the skull sutures at the top of the
head to ‘escape’. This is what happened to me. This is why the body grows cold
like a corpse. Alternately it can exit through the nose or even the mouth, but this is atypical.
A critical, never written note here — the dream substance CAN leave the body
en masse, without the person dying…. AWARENESS itself can stay behind
can partially stay behind (not typical at all) or can also leave at the same
time as the fiery dream substance bio plasma envelope and this then is called
‘DEATH’.
Now sometimes after death, AWARENESS returns, as happened to me, as I had
unfinished business (I needed to write the documentation, as if you are a mystic
or religious figure and you don’t thoroughly document with your OWN HAND,
YOU ARE A FAILURE, in my personal view.
So this leaves us with point 3, the most poignant point:
3) ‘Kundalini’ is an EARLY triggering of the DEATH PROCESS EJECTION SYSTEM
and in that sense is not MYSTICAL or TRANSCENDENT AT ALL, AND IN FACT IS
EXPERIENCED BY EVERYONE AND IS COMPLETELY ORDINARY.
Now, when you do it purposefully, with AWARENESS and especially if you ‘return’
it’s very educational and the bodily modifications involved with an especially thorough
and graceful triggering leave one CHANGED, often turning one into a ‘seer’ of sorts,
as having already died, and then returning, you have one foot in both worlds.
All the other stuff you read or hear about Kundalini, if it contradicts this is ‘cultural or
religious conditioning’ and is largely WRONG, as it is of ‘the false fire’ of Fractured Consciousness as Platonic Surrealism calls it, not pure Primordial Consciousness’.
That said, there are a 8 billion+ ways to ‘trigger Kundalini’ some graceful and some awful
and that is a separate topic.

Terms Defined
Platonic Surrealism (PS): A philosophical and experiential framework, Platonic Surrealism integrates elements of Neoplatonism, Neutral Monism, and Analytical Realism with contemporary scientific concepts. Founded by Kevin Cann, its aim is to provide a comprehensive understanding of reality that also serves as a tool for personal healing and the actualization of human potential.
At the core of Platonic Surrealism are fundamental concepts that define its cosmology:
- POTENTIALITY: This refers to the boundless totality of all unexpressed possibilities and their inherent interactions. It is described as a timeless and formless “cosmic field” that contains the seeds of all that can exist.
- AWARENESS: Defined as the capacity for reflection and sentience, AWARENESS is the cosmic-scale “field” that establishes causal connections between potential and active properties.
- PRIMORDIAL CONSCIOUSNESS: This is the collective outcome of AWARENESS’s contemplations on the passive properties of POTENTIALITY, existing without active manifestation.
- Fractured CONSCIOUSNESS: Emerging when AWARENESS engages with subsets of PRIMORDIAL CONSCIOUSNESS as mediated by ‘space and time’, this results in a highly fragmented, often surreal, incomplete, and inherently painful and confusing experience.
- Dream Substance: a hybrid substance that exists on many levels, composed at its lowest level of bioplasma and stored in the human body in the pelvic girdle, the spine and other locations. It is required for consciousness to exist in most living things, and it’s a side effect of AWARENESS interacting with POTENTIALITY to form most forms of life.
Dream substance is shared during sex and during various forms of extraordinary experiences. Upon death it is reprocessed by various living beings as part of an expanded mostly invisible ecosystem of life. It is not ‘soul’ but a substance that is the core system of the entire Five-Fold-Interface System.
It is a source of sustenance in the Faerie and Imaginal realms. Just like fungus and other lifeforms decompose animal and plant life after it dies and returns it to nature, so too there are lifeforms in the Land of the Dead that do the same thing.
