Does Platonic Surrealism Recognize “God”?

The word ‘God’ is a cultural corruption; a form of worship of the human being extended across all the layers of being, that are human beings, and all the other layers, properties and interactions.

I can’t speak for others, (I really can’t), but I, as the founder of Platonic Surrealism, Kevin here writing for you, I REVERE my (our) true nature, that being POTENTIALITY and AWARENESS, those being the major two elements of REALITY, in effect the projector and the audience for the projection. The “Little Red Wagon” with stuff in it, and the Little Boy who hauls it around, nearly invisible. People look at the crowded and chaotic “wagon” (their own thoughts and so-called ‘consciousness’) and obsess over it, but seldom look at what perceives the wagon, ‘the perceiver’ (AWARENESS).

What humans and other beings might call ‘God’ is a side effect of the viewer and the movies; the often ‘nasty bits’ stuck in the projector, rather like a grunge layer. It gets all uppity. It gets all butt-hurt and roars at us. It also IS US, so it’s our job to love it.

But it’s the junior partner in all this.

Buddhists might call it samskaras. Hindus might call it karma, experiencers call it the Phenomenon; stoners might call it machine elves, though that is really the “Prime Dreamer” more than the grunge, but yah, it’s at least close.

So really, I LOVE ME, all the forms of ME. And that ‘ME’ is also YOU. And in a very narrow sense, I ‘Love God’ too, as he’s part of us. However ‘God’ needs rescuing in this world, we’ve turned him into an asshole, and as he’s largely created by us, as his creators, it falls on us to fix him up. To love him and hug him and name him George.

Hi George!

Love,

Kevin Cann
