Frequently Asked Questions about Platonic Surrealism
What do you think about Jesus?
Jesus was an apocalyptic, itinerate Jewish teacher, much the same as dozens of other such figures around that time and place. Now Jesus wrote nothing down, so we really have no idea what he said. There are legends about what he said and did, and he was similar to dozens of other miracle workers at that time.
What do you think about Christianity?
The religion was started by Paul of Tarsus who never met Jesus and who strongly disagreed with much that was believed to have been said by one of the men named Jesus of that general time.
Christianity as created by Paul went against most of the popular stories about Jesus. For example, Jesus commanded that Gentiles were not welcome in his coming kingdom, which never arrived when it was promised.
With Paul creating Christianity from popular stories and dashes of Judaism, then mixing it with gnostic and neo-platonic elements, you’ve got a mixed bag of harmful ideas, that became adopted as a misinformation platform by the decaying Roman Empire (now the Catholic Church).
Rome needed a ‘new religion’ as a political trick to help unify the empire, as people were starting to rebel, by saying “my god disagrees with the emperor”. But with only one religion, Rome could exert much greater control over the slaves and low-income people of their empire.
Platonic Surrealism does not involve itself with Roman or any other politics.
What do you think of Eastern Religions?
Once something becomes a religion, it has become too corrupted to be worth anything. Now, many of the founding mystical systems of the East are loosely based on things like psychology, philosophy and deeper truths that actually have elements of truth.
What do you think of Buddhism?
There was much utility and beauty in the thoughts of Buddha and other enlightened scholars. But the more that turned into religion, the less valuable it has become over the years.
What do you think of Islam?
I have no comments on that form of cultural expression, as I am ignorant regarding that particular religion. However, there is much beauty to be found in some systems from that part of the world.
\What do you think about the New Age Movement?
I admire the energy and open-mindedness and fully support the personal exploration of what is real, true and beautiful, and not just more sickening dogma.
However, I must say, that the New Age movement often trips over its feet, as it’s a young movement and needs much time to stabilize into something more coherent.
What do you think of the Human Potential movement?
I wish that movement well. But it often seems to focus on the human ego, not the human and the larger life both, which is the ecosystem in which humans live.
Can people become ‘Enlightened’?
People are already ‘Enlightened’ in their true form, and we are all getting involved in the playing of many distracting movies, to pass unlimited time without going mad.
What do you think of politics?
Politics is the system where the alpha-predator humans, such as robber barons and the other ultra-wealthy psychologically manipulate the good and honest people who just want to live in peace.
The major tactics of the ‘Billionaires’ is to keep people distracted and at each other’s throats, so that the Billionaire Oligarch class can continue to steal the money
and labor of those who, unlike them actually work; actually, produce something.
Is there life after death?
We are dead now, compared to our true form that enters all these movies across all the worlds and times of infinity. The problem has never been ‘not to die’, but how to face eternity without going mad.
Is there reincarnation?
No. There is co-incarnation. We live many lives at once, some where we are kings, and some where we are turds. But given the problem of boredom with eternity, we always wind up experiencing even semi-nightmare worlds, as a distraction from boredom, and to enjoy
growth and fellowship with other ‘potential beings’ such as us.
What’s the point of anything?
All worlds, all times, all places, all POTENTIALITIES are our eternal playground. But it’s up to us to make something of all this. We are all equals, and we should wake up to that, and throw off the fucking assholes who try to hypnotize us with religion and politics, which are just schemes to control the many, for the benefit of the few.
Can Platonic Surrealism help?
Yes. However, this is the start of something that may not filter into culture for quite some time. The best thinking sometimes takes hundreds of years to have any effect.
