Are Humans the Shadow Self of God?

According to CG Jung, humans have the image of ‘God’ within them, as ‘God’ is an archetype.

Humans also have, according to Jung, a ‘shadow self’ (“The repressed, undesirable, or unacceptable aspects of one’s personality, which are hidden from conscious awareness, but still influences thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.”)

Thus, according to Jung, we would be the collective ‘Shadow self of God’. The ‘asshole’ part of God, and that certainly tracks with much of human nature and behavior as I know it. This is a similar concept to Bernardo Kastrup’s idea, “We are God’s alters”.

Now as we all know, ‘alters’ can be morally ANYTHING, it depends upon the person.

We really need to define ‘God’ better. It’s doable.

‘God’ is much like ‘the Phenomenon’ and ‘the demiurge’ from other traditions.

If all humans healed their ‘shadow assholery’, would ‘God’ be ‘purified’ and in fact so changed, that ‘God’ would no longer be recognizable from corrupted images from the past.

I think so!

PS: I’m just utilizing Carl Gustaf Jung here; I have long observed that something of this nature is ‘true’. Really, the entire book The Enlightenment of God will address this topic.
