As some say, there are 5 stages of ‘mediation’ and ‘so-called enlightenment’.
it goes something like this:
- you think that you are your thoughts.
- you see that you may not be your thoughts.
- Awareness (recognition of SELF not being in thoughts) grows.
- You become ’empty’ like a Zen master.
- You become ‘full’, you embrace being a dream-master.
Hardly anyone ever goes from 4 to 5, without losing their sanity at least.
And when it happens, the Zen types think that they are ‘failing’ or ‘doing something wrong’, but in fact the entire point of humans, in a sense, is to process the ‘cosmic dreams’ AS WELL, once they have solved their own personal riddles.
It often takes decades to go from 4 to 5, so most ‘Zen masters’ (just using that as an example, there are many paths) often die of old age before it happens.
Also, it bears mention, that if you try to ‘cheat the empty’, then the ‘full process’, by getting impatient (it happens when it happens),
You don’t find the ‘FULL’, you get lost in self-delusion.
Now, just to frame this properly, so-called ‘FULL ones, the Dream Masters’ are just TODDLERS on the cosmic scale of races.
We may all be ‘God’ in a sense, but it’s not individuals who are important, it’s the entire species that is important.
Really, all this ‘enlightenment bull crap’ is pure vanity.
It’s like beating your chest proudly and proclaiming, “I AM A TODDLER!”
Really, it’s nothing, but basic stability that anybody can do, if they want to bad enough.
You do have to want it.

PS: the title is a little problematic, as it is prone to be seized upon b y isolated egos seeking ‘power’. I did this knowingly. The ‘ego’ must be ‘enticed’ if it is to play along, this is something that ‘spiritual teachers’ do. The ‘ego’ must be made strong, before it is transformed, by falling into first harmony (the inner flows between our ‘3 brains’) and then is transformed again by the ‘next harmony’ with the “Larger Life”. Such transformations never ‘finish’, they are nearly endless.
