Platonic Surrealism and Block Universes

Platonic Surrealism

Is a framework, much like neutral monism or metaphysical idealism, which stresses that both mind and matter are subprocesses within a higher order informational matrix called “POTENTIALITY’ the sum total of all possible properties and interactions between properties, which exists well beyond space and time.

Besides POTENTIALITY, one key property is AWARENESS, which is the ability to perceive reflexively back on itself. This AWARENESS has a tendency to ‘loop back on itself like a mobius strip, and this fundamental smallest (and largest unit of being) is called a monad or a potentiality node.

All monads/potentiality nodes are ontologically equivalent, and have access to all bits of information which is nearly identical to all other monads/potentiality nodes, except there is a ‘1 bit difference’, that ‘exists as a looped potentiality node with an ‘index number’ that differs from POTENTIALITY itself, which express the POTENTIAL for all bits and all interactions, but doesn’t
have any preference as to which are expressed and which are not, as long as all of them are.

This is called “Reality has no preferred state”.

All that appears to exist is a collection of monads interacting, with different information bits enabled (bits are repressed to be ‘off’ (it’s like sleep) or expressed to be ‘on’. Mystics sometimes see these ‘infinite golf ball collections’ or ‘worm piles’, or even insectoid honeycombing is a particularly common one, especially among drug users and certain mystics.

Block Universes (ref: Gemini.ai)

A block universe is a cosmological concept that suggests that time exists as a fixed, four-dimensional block, similar to a three-dimensional block of marble. In this view, the past, present, and future are all equally real and exist simultaneously.

Here are some key points about the block universe:

  • Time as a dimension: Time is considered a fourth dimension, just like space. This means that events are not unfolding sequentially but exist as fixed points in spacetime.
  • No free will: The block universe implies that events are predetermined, and there is no room for free will or choice. Every event that has happened or will happen is already set in stone.
  • Eternalism: This concept is often associated with the philosophical view of eternalism, which holds that time is an illusion and that all moments exist equally.

Introductory Commentary

In a ‘multiverse of block universes’ ‘Awareness’ can experience anything that it wants! But it can’t change anything. If YOU want to ‘change something’ then as it’s only option, Awareness would go to that specific block universe instantiation, where things are the way it wants to experience. Since it’s all just a big information data set, and Awareness is just the ‘pointer’ to the existing data, there is no violation of Ockham’s razor or the principle that nature is thrifty with energy. No energy is expended in any meaningful sense, there are no empty/wasted/silly moment by moment branching of infinite universes such as in the many world interpretation of quantum mechanics.

Everything is pre-pondered, all possibilities in all combination and it’s all ‘pre-experienceable’ from outside of time and space.

For POTENTIALITY (functionally the total collection of the potential for all the block universes),
for whatever reason, a ‘block universe’ is like ‘one complete thought’ that can be experienced. It is basically one single sentence, printed on a T-shirt, to use a metaphor.

That’s why you can’t change anything. Pull one thread and the whole rug comes undone. Since everything is ‘one’ (part of the same quantum wavefunction of everything, to use a METAPHOR),
it’s all or nothing.

Lots of so-called ‘enlightened people’ come to realize this, and the ‘big joke’ is that all the huffing and puffing in the world can’t change anything.

So why even try?

Easy.

‘WE’ are also ‘the timeless/spaceless ONE’ like everything else is, and let’s say as a metaphor, that we all have the option to muck with a ‘block universe’, before it even exists, and then we play out the group-effort ‘programming’. We both have not a single drop of free will, and all the drops of free will all at the same time.

So you may as well ‘try’ if you like; you’ll either succeed or you won’t.

You might as well enjoy the ride.
